PQ Fashions was started by Ping back in 1998, along with her talented team of fully-trained pattern makers and tailors. For many years, Ping had noticed people around Brisbane letting their clothes wear them, rather than the other way around. She observed a lack of awareness about how properly fitted clothes can transform your look. She knew there was a real need for a service that could change this. A service that could make your clothes fit you better.
And that was how PQ Fashions was born – right in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. PQ’s reputation spread rapidly amongst fashion retailers, celebrities and the general public. Ping’s perfectionism and incredible eye for detail set the standard for alterations and tailoring in Brisbane.
The business grew rapidly and Ping brought in her daughter Clare, to take charge of management and marketing, and her fashion-designer niece Jo, to help service their rapidly growing clientele.
PQ now boasts nine people in our team. Our passion for style, fashion and creating the perfect fit has never wavered. We continue to raise awareness that there’s just no such thing as one-size-fits-all. Every person’s body shape is unique, and so is our service.
